Important Notice: Conference Arrangements in Response to Typhoon Kong-Rei/重要公告：因應康芮颱風可能影響之會議安排措施
Good afternoon, dear participants of the 2024 GCBME, TSBME & TSB Conference,
According to current predictions from the Central Weather Bureau, Typhoon Kong-Rei may impact the opening day of our conference on November 1. Therefore, the organizing committee has implemented the following contingency measures: if the Tainan City Government announces a suspension of work and classes on the previous day, some activities on November 1 will be held online, while sessions on November 2 and November 3 will proceed in person.
To ensure the rights and convenience of all registered attendees and presenters, all online sessions will be conducted via Webex. Individual Webex links for each session will be sent to attendees’ registered email addresses on the morning of the event.
The following activities will be held online:

Plenary Sessions: Plenary I and Plenary II will proceed as scheduled. Please join via the Webex link provided at least 20 minutes before the scheduled time, and ensure your camera and microphone are turned off.

Poster Session I: This session will not include a live online presentation. Presenters wishing to participate in the Best Poster Competition must submit their poster PDF file by 12:30 PM on November 1 to the designated email address, using the file name format “Paper No.”. Judging will be based solely on the poster content due to the online adjustment.

NSTC Academic Discipline Briefing: This session is yet to be confirmed. Please check for updates.

Oral Session I: Each group will be assigned a Webex link. Invited speakers and oral presenters should join the meeting room by 2:50 PM to test their microphone and camera and prepare for screen sharing. Oral presenters, please rename yourself as “Paper No.” to facilitate scoring for the Best Oral Competition. Presentation timing will follow the original schedule. Attendees can join each group’s Webex link 5 minutes before the scheduled time, with cameras and microphones turned off.
